Location: Crystal City, VA

Description:
The candidate chosen for this position will create and maintain multiple web sites for the customer.  The candidate will work with customers to receive information, format it, and post it to the organization web sites.  The candidate will work closely with the customer’s graphic artist as well as various content contributors to organize and disseminate information appropriately.  The candidate will be expected to adhere to government metadata standards as well as make the sites Section 508 compliant.  The candidate will be expected to follow good programming practices and the principle of keeping content separate from presentation information.  The candidate may be required to learn and implement new technologies over time.
Some local travel may be required.

Required Skills
Five plus years experience designing and maintaining web sites
Experience with XHTML, XML, HTML, JavaScript and FTP is required
Prior experience with CSS a must
Experience with customizing Microsoft SharePoint sites
Must be a detail-oriented person with excellent interpersonal skills
Must be able to write code to work in multiple browsers and at various browser version levels

Desired Skills
Prior experience with Dreamweaver, Borland StarTeam, and Adobe Acrobat
Knowledge and/or experience with making sites Section 508 compliant
Experience with both UNIX and Windows based operating systems preferred
Technical writing skills preferred
Experience testing websites and proofreading content is important
Other multimedia experience
