Description:
Title: Cloud Based Geospatial Software Developer
Location: Bolling Air Force base
Clearance: TS/SCI clearance
JOB SUMMARY: Work as part of an agile team serving as a GIS/geospatial application developer to customize, maintain, and enhance a variety of geostatistical applications for cloud-based solutions. Apply in-depth knowledge of full life cycle software development to develop applications using HADOOP, C++ and Cassandra technologies. Contributes to analysis of requirements and design of interactive mapping/reporting applications. Experience with OGC standards development to include WPS, WCS, WFS-T. Position requires candidates with the following qualities: self- starter, strong team player, able to adapt to dynamic environment, ability to complete tasks independently without oversight, and strong customer support skills.
Cloud-based Geospatial Developer Desired Skills:
• Experience in geospatial modeling, scripting, and geostatistical applications development for cloud-based solutions.
• Experience with Map Reduce HADOOP, and Cassandra technologies.
• Background in all-source geospatial intelligence and fusion analysis.
• Advanced developer experience with C++ for data architectures.
• GPU development experience within defense and intelligence networks..
• Experience with OGC standards development to include WPS, WCS, WFS-T
Responsibilities
• Geospatial modeling, scripting, and geostatistical applications development for cloud-based solutions utilizing Map Reduce HADOOP and Cassandra technologies.
• Responsible for all software and documentation
Education
Masters degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience in software development preferred.
Experience
Prefer a minimum of 5 years experience in developing ESRI-based applications with a strong proficiency in ArcGIS and ArcObjects development preferred. Prefer experience in geospatial modeling, scripting, and geostatistical applications development for cloud-based solutions.
• Prefer experience with Map Reduce HADOOP, and Cassandra technologies.
• Prefer background in all-source geospatial intelligence and fusion analysis.
• Prefer advanced developer experience with C++ for data architectures.
• Prefer GPU development experience within defense and intelligence networks.
• Prefer Experience with OGC standards development to include WPS, WCS, WFS-T
Computer Environment
Prefer experienced developer with programming languages C# and C++/ Java. Prefer strong PostGre SQL/Oracle or related RDBMS skills including development skills using JDBC/OCI. Prefer experienced with creating GeoSpatial analysis tools using ESRI ArcObjects. Prefer ARC/INFO, AML, C/C++, VB or VBA experience creating GUI with ESRI objects helpful.
Additional Skills
Prefer experience working in Intelligence Fusion Environment.
