IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
Location: Based at McLean, VA (Tysons Corner)
Status: Must be US Citizen
Candidates must be able to successfully pass a background investigation that would allow them access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship required for government contracts.
POSITION SUMMARY
Candidates must have a proven track record in the support, and management of complex server configurations that support end-to-end application-driven solutions across multi-disciplinary platforms. The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment, and have strong interpersonal and professional communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide operations support in a 24x7x365 environment which includes, but is not limited to, server and applications setup/configuration/testing, and troubleshooting of all systems/applications in multiple area data centers.
* Provide analysis and recommendations pertaining to server optimization and enhancements to improve performance and increase efficiency.
* Participate in the maintenance of servers, documentation on maintenance, as well as standard operating procedures (SOPs) that pertain to systems engineering.
* Support of server environments; risk management, security compliance, vulnerability scanning, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, measured against SLAs.
* Provides root-cause analysis, contributes to the knowledge base, and provides recommendations for continuous improvements to workflow, process, and technology.
* Rotational on-call duties required.
QUALIFICATIONS
* 5+ yrs. of hands-on HP Server Environments.
* Minimum 3 yrs. experience supporting Citrix XenServer.
* Security+ Certification required.
* Configuration/management of SQL 2008, MS Server 2008/2012, IIS 6, IIS 7/7.5, .Net4. experience.
* DIACAP control protocols or equivalent compliance experience required.
* Information Assurance experience preferred.
* Preferred expertise that encompasses server management and support, integration services, and security audit.
* Experience in close collaboration with a .Net based development operation.
* Experience running websites.
